REQ: Band In A Box 2014
CHAOS was kind enough to post a version of BIAB 2014 a few months ago, but ALAS, no love on a full set of Realtracks and RealDrums to go along with it. About 2 years back, AudioZ had a Mac version with about 80 GB of RealTracks -- in current terms I think that's less than half of them. Later I found a Win version of that on a torrent site, but still no complete unadulterated love... DUDES, It's TIME!!!!!

Following a Soniccouture tradition of playing instruments the wrong way, we present this unique library of a Bowed Gamelan instrument. This library is actually made from just one instrument of the gamelan ensemble, the ugal. This is pitched in the middle of the gamelan range, and so is quite versatile and generally leads the gangsa section of a traditional Balinese group. This instrument has 14 keys which cover a range of almost 3 octaves.

SonicCouture - Omnichord
An Omnichord is an electronic musical instrument, introduced in 1981 and manufactured by the Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation. It typically features a touch plate, and buttons for major, minor, and diminished chords. The most basic method of playing the instrument is to press the chord buttons and swipe the touch plate with a finger or guitar pick in imitation of strumming a stringed instrument.

SonicCouture - Skiddaw Stones + Update
The Skiddaw Stones are probably the most unusual and certainly the oldest instrument that Soniccouture has sampled. A Lithophone ( litho = stone, phone= voice ) dating from 1840, The Skiddaw Stones are composed of 61 tuned and shaped rocks, made from the rare hornfels stone, found in Cumbria, England. Hornfels is said to have a superior tone and longer ring than the more commonly used slate.

SonicCouture - Synthi AKS
The E.M.S. Synthi AKS is a legendary instrument with an illustrious history. First manufactured in 1972 by E.M.S in Putney, South-West London, The Synthi A was basically a portable version of EMS's famous VCS3 synthesiser, and the KS Keyboard (a playable 30-note touchplate) was added to make the Synthi AKS. It cost u420.It was quickly adopted by the likes of Brian Eno and Pink Floyd, and has been used by experimental musicians ever since.

SonicCouture - DDR Toy Piano
We don’t know much about this particular instrument’s history - a friend of Soniccouture, Tom Heywood ( Discography ), who runs Normal Bias studios in Berlin, found it in one of the city’s many flea markets. It was sold to him by a vendor who specialises in DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik) era collectibles. It is a child’s toy piano, made of plastic.
